Gatsby- And so it begins. Another English project from school (11th grade, Junior year), draw 10 characters from "The Great Gatsby" and add three quotes that fit the character. This is the first picture I did in the project, and it's hardly the best either. I'm keeping these up because a couple of them do have something about them worth looking at, and others don't, but then you wouldn't see my artistic flaws nor would you have a complete set. And we can't have that!
Well, we can, but I figure some of these are worth looking at to a degree.
Daisy- I believe I made her legs, or torso too short...big head too.
Hell, this one just sucks.
Tom- This one turned out okay. You'll notice that I didn't draw feet on a few of these. Feet are my bane. I don't have much trouble with them now, but back then was a different story.
Jordan- I think she suffers from short-woman's disease too. I used no
reference for the faces or bodies when drawing these. Which is why some are
God-awful and some are decent.
Catherine- This one I'm pleased with. It's still very far from perfect,
but it turned out well enough. Yay me.
Myrtle- When I read the book I was under the impression that Myrtle was fat. I could be wrong, but the pic still came out rather well either way. Scanned up too light though.
Wilson- Wilson here, at least in my eyes, reminds me of Tom Hanks. Which, is funny if you think about it. C'mon...Wilson the soccar ball...and...Tom Hanks...y'know...oh forget it.
Wolfsheim- Horribly static pose...not good, not bad...kinda...middle ground
Owl Eyes- Gah! Suck! Why did I do this so horribly?
Mr. Gatsby- This was the last pic I did for the Gatsby project. I also did it late at night and after two other pictures. So basically this one is just bad, bad, bad.
